A woman weighed 500 kg, lost nearly 400 kg, and left her husband — here’s how she looks after all the changes

Mexican-born Mayra Lizbeth Rosales was previously thought to be among the world’s biggest women. Her weight hit a record-breaking 500 kilos at one point, which is half a ton

Mayra claims that her love of fast food and her unrestrained, excessive consumption of it were the causes of her enormous weight rather than an uncommon illness.

Mayra was married, which was amazing. Her spouse seemed to support her bad habits by bringing her extra food every day and failing to try to dissuade her from continuing down this risky path.

But Mayra had a pivotal moment one day when she understood that things couldn’t continue in this manner.

She made the decision to drastically alter her life. She had multiple procedures, including a gastric bypass and the removal of extra skin and fat. She went on to lose over 200 kg.

Fast food permanently vanished from her life. And Mayra was at last able to exercise as the weight began to decrease.

She gradually gained 92 kg by altering her lifestyle and persevering through challenges. Amazing, given that she used to weigh five times that!

Despite their recent divorce, she and her spouse are still cordial. Mayra is a glowing, self-assured, attractive, and—above all—healthy woman today.

Even more amazing is the fact that, in spite of the tremendous strain, her internal organs and bodily systems remained to work even when she was at her heaviest.
