Entitled Mom Blocked Our Delivery Spot & Told Us to ‘Work Around Her’—Minutes Later, She Regretted It a Lot

After 20 years as a construction foreman, I’ve seen a lot of entitled people, but nothing quite like the mom who decided to park in our no-parking zone and refused to move when I asked. She simply told me to “deal with it,” and that’s when karma took over in a big way.We were working on a construction site located halfway up a mountain—well, more like a steep hill—so our only access for deliveries was a small footpath with two marked no-parking spots.

These spots were crucial for unloading materials, especially when we had big deliveries coming in. On this particular day, we were expecting a lumber delivery, and as I was clearing the loading zone, I noticed a woman parked in one of the spots, texting away in her car.walked up to her window and politely explained the situation, asking her to move. She barely glanced at me and told me, “I’ll just be a few minutes, your truck isn’t here yet, take a chill pill.” With that, the window went up, and I was left standing there.

As I was walking back to the crew, the delivery truck arrived, and I returned to ask the woman to move again. She rolled her window down halfway and snapped at me. I explained again that the delivery truck needed to park there, but she was still unbothered. She suggested we “just unload around her.” That was the last straw. Instead of arguing, I decided to let karma do its thing.I told the driver, Jerry, to pull in as close to her driver’s side as possible, effectively blocking her in between the truck and the porta-potty. We started unloading, and the woman realized she was stuck.

She tried to get out of her car, but with the truck blocking her door, she had to climb awkwardly out through the passenger side, all the while muttering under her breath. After a while, she came over to demand we move the truck, but Jerry explained that we couldn’t move it because the load was unsecured, and company policy wouldn’t allow it. She wasn’t having it and threatened to report us, but then the parking enforcement officer arrived. As she got more frustrated, she tried to reverse out, only to crash into the porta-potty and get her SUV stuck on the curb. The officer quickly took control of the situation, and soon enough, the woman was sitting on the curb in handcuffs. We finished our work, laughing about the situation. The lesson was clear: sometimes, entitlement comes with a hefty price. By the end of the day, I was just thankful that our parking spots were finally clear—and the woman had learned a hard lesson about patience, respect, and how sometimes, the harder you push, the more you get stuck.
